Mihir's POV

Four years later…

I was feeling cold and wanted Tami's soft, warm body against me. Without opening my eyes, I reached out to pull her close, but to my dismay, the bed felt cold. She wasn't there. I opened my eyes and saw that my pretty wife was not in the bedroom. I looked at the clock and groaned. It was just six in the morning.

Where could she have gone?

Dragging myself out of bed, I went looking for her. "Tami! Where are you?"

No response. "Tami!" I called louder, my voice echoing through the house. "Tami, come here right away!"

"Why are you shouting so early in the morning?" Mom came out of her room, looking mildly irritated.

"I'm looking for Tami. Where is she?"

"Leave the poor girl alone for some time," Mom said, rolling her eyes.

"Mom, you are saying that? How can I leave her alone? She's my wife."
