Gauravi's POV
The spooky figure said something to him that I could not hear… He shook his head and said that he wouldn't leave.
The figure turned, its eyes—no, not eyes, but twin orbs of darkness that seemed to drink in the very essence of my soul—fixing me with a gaze that sent ice coursing through my veins. I tried to speak, to cry out for help, but my voice caught in my throat, choked off by the suffocating grip of terror.
Shaurya's words reached me then, faint and distorted as if filtered through layers of fog. "Gauravi, don't be afraid," he called out, his voice tinged with desperation. "I'm trying to help you. Please, trust me. Come inside."
But how could I trust him when he stood there, conversing with a… Ghost?? How could I trust anyone in this nightmarish tableau where reality and nightmare intertwined in a macabre dance of death?
