Chapter 23

Nobody expected a pleasurable relationship to end in tragedy. As the injection entered Adrian's body to lessen the pain, all the sores from the lashes swelled up. He wasn't even able to move his legs. Adrian's abilities were too weak to heal himself, so he summoned a doctor to his flat.

When the doctor arrived, Adrian struggled to find an excuse, claiming that the cut was caused by falling from the restroom. The doctor's expression, on the other hand, seemed to grasp what had occurred to him.

“Don't forget to take this medicine, you'll be fine tomorrow,” remarked the doctor, whose named Zean.

Adrian only nodded slowly as he winced in pain; despite receiving a pain reliever injection, Adrian wasn't strong enough to tolerate all of this.

"I hope you don't have to do it again... you don't appear strong enough to undertake anything like this," he says.
