Chapter 128. The Exceptional Results

The restaurant had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with delicious aromas wafting from the kitchen. We scanned the menu and the variety of dishes made it hard to choose.

Eventually, we settled on sharing a few appetizers and a couple of entrées. The crab cakes and spinach artichoke dip were a hit, followed by mouthwatering steaks.

For dessert, we couldn’t resist the homemade cheesecake and tiramisu. We paired the sweets with a cup of warm coffee and chatted for hours. As the night wore on and the restaurant began to empty, we reluctantly requested the check and said our goodbyes.

The chilly autumn air hit us as we stepped out of the restaurant. We hugged each other tight and promised to do this again next month.

As we parted ways, I pulled up my jacket collar and started walking home. The sound of leaves rustling under my feet was comforting as I reflected on the night’s conversation. I couldn’t help but feel grateful for having such an understanding husband.
