Chapter 31. Come with Me

Months had passed since our escape to the seaside paradise, and Riccardo and I had built a life together. We had everything we ever wanted-love, safety, and freedom. But as usual, danger was never far away.

One day, we received a message from an old acquaintance who needed assistance. We were skeptical at first, especially given our new peaceful lives. But Riccardo couldn’t turn a blind eye to someone he knew in need. So, we packed our bags and headed towards the city where the request came from.

We arrived to find ourselves in the middle of a war zone between two rival gangs. The city was crawling with danger, and we were forced to act to help our friend out.

As we worked on getting our ally to safety, we encountered a conflicted man named Marco. He claimed he wasn’t with either gang but held vital information that would help us understand the situation better.
