Chapter 92. Face It Together
I approached the quaint little café where Riccardo had suggested we meet, my heart was racing. I wasn’t sure what to expect or how to act after all these years, but I knew one thing for sure, I still loved him.
As soon as I walked in, I saw him sitting at a table by the window looking out into the street. He looked up and saw me, a soft smile forming on his face. We locked eyes for a few moments before he stood up and walked toward me.
“Hello,” he said, his voice gentle and low. “You look beautiful.”
I smiled back at him, feeling the old chemistry between us. “Thank you,” I replied, feeling nervous and wondering what he was thinking.
