Chapter 3. JV, Who?
Cristine’s POV
I was walking towards the elevator. Aron told me to buy his lunch at the nearest restaurant. He even instructed me not to buy from a fast food chain because the food there is low-class.
“If only I’m not on a mission, I will starve him to death,” I whispered with my almost kissing eyebrows out of annoyance.
When the elevator opened, I was surprised to see Miko, his perverted friend.
When he recognized me, he automatically stood straight and smiled at me, which I answered with a fake smile.
I stepped inside and pushed the 1st floor button when the door closed.
“Where are you going, Miss Beautiful?” He asked in a low tone, enough for me to feel disgusted by the nickname he had given me.
Why does the word “beautiful” feel so good when other people call me that, but when it comes to him, it sounds gross?
“Uhm… I’m going to buy some lunch, sir. How about you? I thought you already left, sir,” I answered, trying to sound casual.
“Yeah, I’m about to leave, but then I saw you. Maybe I could stay a little longer.”
He smirked, and I secretly rolled my eyes. Is he flirting with me?
Seriously?
“You’re funny, sir.”
“No, I’m serious, Cristine. And please don’t call me Sir. I have a name.”
I just nodded and diverted my gaze. I looked at my right side, but all I could see was his reflection, looking at me with his sticky eyes.
I looked at my front, but I just saw our reflections standing beside each other.
Damn!
Oh, how I wish I just took the stairs rather than feel suffocated in here with this guy.
“Let’s have a date this weekend. I’ll treat you,” he suddenly said, breaking the silence.
I almost choked on my own saliva because of what he said.
He was about to touch my buttocks when the elevator door opened, and I immediately got out of there and faced him.
“I-I have work on the weekend, sir." I’m sorry.”
I immediately turned my back and walked as fast as I could, almost running.

“How’s your work with the Quizon? Satisfied, annoyed, or rather not to say?” Lea asked over the phone.
“None of the above.”
I heard her chuckle on the other side of the line. It’s already midnight, but I’m still awake. I’m here at the comfort room for me to call my friend. I just want to inform her that I’m still alive.
“How about your revenge? Did you start it already?”
“Not yet; I’m still thinking of a plan. And besides, I’m here as a maid; he has his power over me. I can’t move freely.”
She fell silent, so I thought she had already ended the call, but after some seconds she spoke again.
“What if you try to make him fall for you and then break him into pieces?”
My left eyebrow raised at her suggestion.
“Are you kidding?”
“No, I’m dead serious. Maybe in that way, you can make your plans work. No hassle; you just need a little bit of acting skill.”
“I’m still in the right mind to not follow your instructions, Lea. My God! That’s the most disgusting advice you have given me.”
I rolled my eyes, as if she could see how annoyed I was.
“Fine, fine. I’m just giving you a hint; it’s up to you if you will consider it. Better go to sleep, honey. Good night.”
“Good night.”
We both made a kissing sound over the phone before we ended the call. I put my phone back in my pocket and looked in the mirror.
Make him fall for me?
For a moment, I thought maybe Lea was right. If I can get his heart, then I can get his trust. After getting those two, I can make my plans easily.
I frowned and shook my head.
What am I thinking?
“I need a rest.”
I washed my hands and got out of the comfort room before going to bed.

“Let me help you with that,” Diana said to me, referring to the laundry that I’m washing.
“Thanks, I can handle this.”
We were in the laundry room, washing tons of clothes that only Aron wore. Is he a snake? It’s just one week's clothes, but it looks like three weeks worth of laundry.
“Okay, as you say. Besides, I’m going to clean Sir Aron’s room today. Gotta go--”
“Wait, what did you say?” I immediately grabbed her arms when she was about to leave.
Did I hear it right?
“I said I was going to clean Sir’s room today; why?”
I immediately stood up and wiped my sweaty hands. Aron was out of work today. This is good news for me.
“Is it okay if we switch? You do the laundry, and I will clean his room. I’m his personal assistant after all.”
She stared at me with confusion. "Maybe I look crazy right now, but this is a great time for me to do my mission.
“You sure?”
“Thank you so much, Diana!”
I kissed her cheek, and I left her with a surprised look on her face.
I knocked on the door first before I opened it, making sure that no one was inside. I stepped inside and closed the door.
His room was so quiet. My footsteps are echoing inside; I even heard my own breath and heart beat.
I walked towards his mini-office and started to find the files again. I check his drawers, cabinet, and book shelves.
After five minutes, I stand straight while my sweats flow down my neck and forehead. I found nothing but papers of his business plans and other documents that I don’t know what he was using them for.
I sat on his swivel chair to catch my breath. Where did he compile some confidential documents?
I roamed my eyes inside, and it landed above his table...
His laptop.
Right!
“Why didn’t I think of this earlier?” I told myself while going closer to his table.
I opened his laptop and saw that it had no password. I browsed to his file manager and read all his documents and even his photo album.
When I found nothing on his documents, I went to his email, and I saw something that made me curious.
“What are these?” My brows met as I scrolled to his mail box; it was purely emails from him for only one receiver.
I read some of it, including the previous one that he just sent early this morning.
I’m going to work now. Don’t forget to eat your breakfast and take your vitamins if you have them. I wish I was there to remind you every day not to forget your car keys and to wear your watch. Have a nice day. I’m still waiting.
I continued to scroll and read another one; it was an email from one month ago.
Happy birthday to you! I just woke up and want to greet you on your very special day. How will you celebrate your birthday this year, huh? If only I could take you to Switzerland, I would. Stay healthy and sweet. I’m still waiting.
All of his emails have
There are two common factors that I noticed. The “I’m still waiting” sentence at the end of every paragraph and the receiver whose name is...
“Jannah Villamor."
