Chapter 11. Do What I Want

Cristine’s POV

“Let’s go!” Fred shouted while walking towards the van.

We are going to leave now. I’m carrying Aron’s luggage, and I didn’t know if it contained some kind of rock inside.

It’s too heavy!

My arms almost broke earlier when I tried to lift it with one hand.

“Let me help you with that,” Miko said.

He smiled at me and insisted on getting the luggage from my hand. I gave him a half smile, and he winked at me.

I put my hands on my waist as I caught my breath. It’s just morning, but I already smelled like afternoon.

“Take care, Aron. Message me if you need something, okay?”

I looked behind me and saw Madam Grace talking to her son. She was holding his shoulder while fixing his hair.

Aron was trying to stop her mother from doing what she was doing. I shook my head. He really didn’t appreciate Madam Grace’s love for him.

“I’m not a baby, Mom.” He stepped back.
