Chapter 142
Third-Person POV
It was like a dare. She wouldn’t stop talking. “I get your point already?!” He said to himself, inside his head. “Just stop talking!” He did not want to sound offensive, so he didn’t say any of these out loud.
At one point, he got tired. Not only that her voice was annoying him, it was intertwining with his work. “It’s alright, I understand.” He told her, trying to shut her up in the most modest way possible.
“Okay, she said.” By this time, she was done putting on her light makeup and stood up and left for the inner room.
“Finally, some peace.” He said to himself as he went back to working effectively.
It wasn’t until an hour later, when the gate was opened as the general arrived. He drove in and parked. He was escorted to the palace. He was looking all pale and sad.
The king was informed about his visit and came out to see him almost immediately, hoping for some good news.
