Lucy's POV

“It's him!” I heard my wolf gently say.

“What?” I screamed. “You don't mean it.”

Alpha Eric was now my enemy, even when he didn't see himself as this but as my mate and husband still, I despised him. I didn't see why my wolf should continue to connect with him and even try to persuade me to accept him back. I knew he really wanted me but I couldn't just tolerate a cheating partner.

“Remember, you also cheated with Prince Carter, now turned into your brother. No one is perfect.”

This statement from my wolf nearly got me into surrendering to take Eric back but I couldn't just do it. He started it first and for me, he only needed me as a surrogate.

"I was like a concubine.” I tried defending myself to my wolf.

“I mean, look, he abandoned me and was with Amelia. Didn't I have the right to find another man?” I challenged my wolf telling her that what I did was right after all, I was only trying to move on when I saw n
