Chapter 212

Carla's POV 

"I guess we should just take our baths and go to bed. I'm sorry to disappoint but I can't touch you," the king muttered. It was hard to hear this. I had already set my heart on receiving his touches but all I was expecting now was no touch. I breathed hard. I trailed my fingers through my hair in frustration, I pouted my lips, and my eyes glared into space as I was lost in thought. 

"Guess you can be satisfied looking at me!" This wasn't what I wanted, so I couldn't say a word, nor did I refuse. 

"Why did you give me the green flags before now?" I wanted to clear my mind, I didn't understand what was going on. Besides I would have readily fallen for him but I was scared and nervous. Who am I to have the Alpha King who was revered by everyone, a dream of the girls chasing after me, in the eyes of everyone?

"It would be better if you enjoyed that moment. Moments like that are rare." My wolf said in regret as my mind
