Carla's POV 

"You've grown immensely as a musician, and your performance touched the hearts of everyone in the audience." After the performance, Carter and Cara approached me, their smiles beaming with pride. "Carla, that was breathtaking," Carter exclaims.

As I sit down beside Cara, my heart starts pounding with anxiety. Carter's piercing gaze is fixed on me, his eyes demanding answers. I try to find my voice, but it eludes me, leaving me stammering and speechless.

"Why are you so bothered about Julie?" Carter's voice is steady, yet there's a hint of vulnerability in his eyes.

"Carla deserves to know the truth, Carter. Julie... she's your sister." Cara takes a deep breath, her expression filled with guilt. 

My jaw drops, and my heart plummets into my stomach. Julie, the one person who seemed to haunt Carter's every move, is his sister? The pieces of the puzzle start falling into place, and I realize why he was so guarded and
