Chapter 295

Carla's POV 

He must have noticed my steadiness, no motion but a smile.

"You seem so excited this morning?" I rise to my feet and make a courtesy to the queen as she says this.

"Good morning, your majesty." She smiles in reaction to my greeting.

"You could call me mom, soon, I'll be your mother-in-law." I part my lips to interrupt her, to ask her if she knows anyone like Sarina and who she is to Carter, when Carter pinches the side of my thighs and winks at me, adding a quick serious glare which I interpret as a warning, he's already aware of what I want to do.

My facial expression changes in a flash, a smile lits on my lips in place of the curiosity that radiates from my face. I take my eyes back to Carter, his face is settled. This is what he really wants and so I am steady on it.
