Chapter 84

Lucy's POV 

“He went for the Gamma’s Retirement Campaign.” Mom said with excitement but my eyes blackened out. Eric’s jaw dropped in a gasp. I guessed it was at this point she knew exactly what she was rejoicing over. 

“Mom, how could you rejoice over such a thing? Now, your daughter will be chosen as the next Gamma when she wants to become the Luna. I'm not yet prepared.” I stamped my foot on the ground furiously, almost crying when Eric reached and grabbed my shoulders pulling me up against his chest. 

“Don't cry, you're the mother of my kids. No one is going to take that position from you, even in my heart,” He whispered into my ear with a strong, assuring tone. My heart warmed up with some energy, receiving strength from his words. Slowly my tears dried up. 

He leaned again towards my ear and this time, I wondered what he was up to. “You're the gamma and as the gamma, you need to fight. You need to have a strong heart.
