Chapter 17. Special Guest

So much for a new beginning. All my confidence disappeared. The school had seemed quite easy to locate when I had looked it up on my phone’s GPS. I scanned my environment in confusion wondering what to do and if going back home was the best thing to do.
“You can do this. You can do this.” I repeated, over and over again. If my phone wasn’t helping, then I’ll locate the school like every other normal human would—I’ll ask for directions from people. It was easier said than done. I couldn’t find anyone that looked friendly, not in a rush or even someone to pause for a few seconds for me to ask for help.
Stressed out and ready to give up, I saw a strawberry blonde girl, a little disorganized but friendly looking. As she walked hurriedly, flipping through pages of the huge book she carried, I quickly followed.
