Chapter 3
Albert stared at Alika for a long time with his flat face. Afterward, he said, "No. Haven't I said from the beginning that I have no intention of being your husband? I just feel that after this, I will be more bothered than usual."
Albert's words immediately lowered Alika's self-esteem. Alika tried to understand and held back her emotions. She should have understood what Albert was going to say, as he never changed his mindset. He never wanted to be bothered! Arguing with Albert would only make things worse.
In front of Angela's Cupid building, Alika walked quickly and enthusiastically, carrying her branded leather bag. She was so excited that Albert was left far behind. Alika, who felt she had left Albert, turned around and said, "Come on, hurry up a little. Even a snail can chase you, Al."
Albert, hearing that, muttered, "No snail can match a human's pace."
Shortly after waiting in the lobby for several minutes, they were invited to meet Angela in her room yesterday. At the door of Angela's room, Albert knocked on the closed door and slowly opened it for Alika.
At that moment, when the door was opened, Alika's eyes met with a very handsome man in the room. He stood leaning his back against the wall with both hands folded across his chest. From Alika's perspective, he was about 185 centimeters tall, with a striking combination of Asian and European features, a sharp nose, thick and sharp eyebrows, and an athletic body covered by his blue shirt and black pants. Alika even wondered what made this man look so perfect.
Why were there so many people in this building who looked like angels?
Did they have a plan to decorate the entire building with their beauty?
Ah, never mind.
When Alika was busy staring at the man for a long time, suddenly a sweet smile appeared at the corner of the man's mouth, as if welcoming and greeting her warmly. It was so beautiful that Alika felt it was the most beautiful smile she had ever seen.
Alika felt it was dangerous, afraid that her heart would not be able to withstand her pounding since she first saw the man. She quickly turned her face in another direction or lowered her gaze, trying to break the man's gaze.
And it turned out that her effort was truly successful in making the man no longer look at her. Angela, who had been sitting next to the man all this time, then said, "Please sit down," offering Alika a chair that had been provided in front of her desk. Alika immediately sat in the chair.
Angela smiled and greeted Alika, and Alika smiled back at her. "Well, Ms. Alika. I will introduce you to a candidate who meets all the criteria you want," said Angela, pointing to her right, where a handsome man who had been avoiding Alika's gaze was standing. "Let me introduce him. His name is Yustaf Esther Cardinal," said Angela. Alika looked briefly at Yustaf, but it was only for a moment because Yustaf quickly made eye contact with her again. Alika was very nervous when he looked at her and quickly diverted her gaze back to Angela. Alika immediately asked Angela something. "Can you show me his biodata?" Alika asked.
"Here it is," said Angela, handing Yustaf's biodata to Alika. Alika immediately accepted the biodata and read it carefully.
Yustaf just remained silent, watching the beautiful woman with wavy hair and a bone-white blazer that fit so well on her slim body, among her white shirt and white skirt. Not to mention the natural-looking makeup that looked so perfect on her face.
She was such an attractive figure. Like a mannequin statue. A highly dedicated and independent woman who had everything at her mature age. It's strange that a perfect woman like this still doesn't have a partner. Oh no... she's a widow...
But what could make her ex-husband willing to divorce such a great woman?
Alika, who felt that Yustaf had been looking at her for a long time, turned around and looked at him. Yustaf looked nervous when caught looking at Alika. But Alika showed an odd response, suddenly smiling sweetly at Yustaf.
This woman... she can smile too.

Yustaf smiled back at Alika. Even the girl now stood up and approached Yustaf. Of course, Yustaf felt nervous and awkward when approached like that. But he tried to reassure himself and gathered the courage to face her.
Alika stopped right in front of the man who was five centimeters taller than her and immediately extended her right hand, inviting Yustaf to shake hands. Yustaf accepted her handshake. Alika immediately said, "Congratulations, you have been selected to be my contract husband. After seeing your biodata, I feel very confident that you are indeed what I want." Yustaf only replied with a smile.
Alika remembered something and asked Albert, who had been playing bubble shooter, to give her the marriage contract agreement file. Albert handed it over to Alika, who then opened the envelope containing two printed pages of the marriage contract agreement and gave them to Yustaf to read.
Yustaf read it from top to middle, noting that it involved a third party, Angela, the owner of the matchmaking agency. Yustaf realized that Alika was not an easy person to underestimate and would hold both parties accountable if something went wrong. She was smart and didn't want to be taken advantage of.
The contract had five requirements that Yustaf had to fulfill. He had to be kind, loving, and attentive to Alika, pretend to love her in front of everyone, always have time to fulfill her wishes, know how to cook, and not exceed the limits of being a pretend husband, such as physical contact beyond reasonable or in front of others. If he failed to meet any of these requirements, the promised sum of 500 million would be reduced by ten percent.
The duration of the marriage contract would end until Alika found a husband. Yustaf glanced briefly at Alika and then pondered on the matter. Alika offered a pen to Yustaf, who took it but held his hand when he was about to sign the contract.
"Can only you make demands?" Yustaf asked. Alika was surprised. "I also want to make a demand before becoming your contractual husband," said Yustaf. Alika quickly responded, "Well, as long as it's not an odd demand, what do you want?"
