Chapter 80
It was a warm afternoon, Layla had gotten everything ready had she stood at the entrance of the gate of the courtroom. Her posture is a mix of anticipation and anxiety.
She was able to avoid the camera’s flashing and the reporters who were trying to get coverage for their content as she entered the courtroom.
The room was a bit tense and Layla knew that everything would be tested today.
“Jack really used connections to get the judge to make the court case today. He is a vile man,” Layla thought to herself.
The courtroom exuded an air of formality, the walls adorned with rich wood paneling and the seal of justice standing out. Rows of polished wooden benches flanked a central aisle which led to an elevated platform where the judge’s bench stood.
The courtroom was softly lit from above, emphasizing the serious expressions on the faces of the lawyers, witnesses and spectators.
