"Coo!"

I was too embarrassed to look up and could only desperately cover my stomach to try to get it to stop. But under my manual operation, it stubbornly let out a cry of varying lengths.

In my embarrassment, Xavier had come up behind me and was about to pass me by.

I craned my neck like an ostrich and had just caught sight of the familiar black boots when a loud bang made me jump. "Pop!"

I looked down and saw that it was a writing pad with a large iron clip that landed right at my feet, and the paper clipped to it had Williams written on the header in fancy letters.

It took me only half a second to realize that Williams was Xavier.

Black boots moved in front of my eyes, next to several pairs of shoes around his side.

I gulped and hesitated to pick them up.
