Chapter 198
I looked up again. Hansel was still smiling at me, the late afternoon sun streaming through the window, hitting his already red hair like thick, dark blood.
I shuddered and stepped up.
Open the door, a blast of cold air straight to the bottom of my heart.
I easily found Hansel's position. He had a stroller next to him, and his hand was holding the toy car above him. He was really playing with the child.
My mind went blank, and the next thing I knew, I was running and touching the child's face.
"Why is it so cold? The air conditioner is so cold here that my face is frozen purple!"
was anxious to find something to cover the baby with, but Hansel said slowly, "Afraid of what? The sun is warm at the window."
I didn't have time to look at him. I took him out, held him in my arms, and sat down next to the window.
Touch the child exposed to the outside of the hands and feet; they are cold. I love dearly; tea
