Chapter 9
As I got closer, I could see his twisted, grim face and his large, open hands towards me. He was coming straight for my mask, but he was definitely going to do more than just take it away.
I saw the murderous intent in his eyes, and my werewolf instinct to survive made me climb the metal door and get up to escape.
He probably misunderstood something in Xavier’s act of giving me the mask, and he wanted to capture me and use me to take a chance at life.
I don't know if I could bring him a silver lining, I just know that if he caught me I would be dead. I would either be held at gunpoint or stabbed directly through a steel pipe by him, or in any case, I would be killed.
At this point in my life, I once again realized beyond doubt that it was a mistake just to mess with Xavier. If he hadn't thrown this at me, I might have survived until the end of the riot and been saved, but once he did…
