Chapter 99
My eyes got a little hot.
I might have hugged him and cried together if it was the old me. But all I could think about now was revenge. I surprisingly behaved very calmly; I gently stroked Mr. Smith's back and whispered comfort.
When he finally calmed down, I asked softly, "Mr. Smith, do you know where my parents' remains are?"
Mr. Smith cried and replied, "Yes, of course I do. I've been there several times, and it's in Lisa's Cemetery."
I asked Mr. Smith to take me there.
It was quite a distance from the factory to the cemetery, and it could take more than two hours by bus. Luckily, the guards drove us there this time, and we were there in about half an hour.
My eyes fell on all the headstones, and I thought one of them might be my parents' grave. However, Mr. Smith walked straight past.
I was a little surprised and said, "Mr. Smith! Aren't my mom and dad buried here?"
