Chapter 244. Unfinished Business

It’s been a couple of days, but I still can’t quite shake the nerves. The pups are back and safe in my beautiful Rose’s arms. Kelly is back and brought with her another young girl who needs our protection. Rose is safe and well-protected in my castle. All the other Alphas and I are fine.

It sounds like a perfect situation, but I’m restless because we have unfinished business. Gene is still out there somewhere, and I won’t feel like everyone is truly safe until we take care of him. Obviously, his mental capacity is diminished, which I think makes him more dangerous. That’s why people like Barbara were able to get him to do their dirty work.

Thankfully, I’m not worried about Barbara anymore. When my beautiful Rose told me how she took care of her, I had to smile. She has really transformed from that shy and nervous woman who first arrived at the castle for the contest. Now, she’s a confident mother who knows how to defend herself and her pups. I
