Chapter 50. Pregnant with How Many Babies?

The nervous habit of rubbing my belly just increases as the days pass by. I’m constantly thinking about my baby. Now that I’m about ten weeks along, I have another appointment today, and I’m nervous to hear what Dr. Pendergorder, or whatever her name is, has to say.
When I made the appointment, she said we would just be checking to make sure the baby is healthy and doing some measurements.
That seems just fine on the surface… but it makes me anxious because I have to wonder… what if everything doesn’t measure correctly?
What if there is something wrong with my baby?
“It’ll be fine,” Shelby reassures me as we walk down the hallway together. “Stop worrying so much.”
“I’m sorry,” I say. “I just can’t help it.” I’ve been reading a book that I found in the library called, ‘When You’re Expecting, You Don’t Know What to Expect,’ and it has me all kinds of confused and full of doubts.
