I need to do something about Emily. I heard her say that she sent that woman in there to kill Rose with my own two ears, and it’s driving me batshit crazy that the king refuses to believe me.

It makes me wanna sneak into her room in the middle of the night, put a pillow over her face, and hold it down until she stops struggling.

“You’re up next on Rose duty,” Eli says, cutting through my thoughts. He’s sitting on his couch, tossing a ball up in the air and catching it.

“I know,” I say. I haven’t forgotten that. He’s already confirmed that he had sex with her, and I know that Reece intends to as well. He probably is doing so right at this moment or already has.
