Chapter 120. Acquired Memories

Nearly holding his breath, King Dreksil moved carefully toward the bed where his beloved spouse was fast asleep. 

He exhaled deeply and pinched his eyes shut before slowly opening them. He then dared to look closely at Izabella's form. He stood helpless by the bed and stared at his wife's face for a long time, his eyes darting from her chest to her tummy. 

He could hardly hear her breathing. And as he leaned in, pressed his lips to hers, gently rubbed their lips together, and then tried to feel the life pulsating inside her womb as he flattened his palm on her stomach. 

"I'm sorry, baby, but I need to do this…" he hushed as he moved closer. 

He carefully moved and clasped her face between his palms before a blue laser beam linking to Izabella's temple emerged from his forehead, with one of his knees pushed up on the bed. And to find out what happened when he lost his memories due to being under a spell, he painstakingly scanned his wife's memory.
