Chapter 34. Fuming Mad

Milena’s smile vanished instantly upon hearing that from Alpha Angelov. He remained serious, showing no sign of taking back what he said.

But the most rational part of her brain kicked in. Of course, she knew there was no other meaning to it.

“D-Don’t joke around like that, Alpha,” Milena said, avoiding his serious gaze. She tried to conceal the sudden tension between them with a slight chuckle.

He sighed before standing up. “I really need to take you to the nearest clinic,” he said, diverting the topic.

“I’m really fine, Alpha,” Milena assured him.

He clenched his jaw. “I said what I said. I’m taking you to the clinic. End of discussion.”

And as if on cue, his expression turned cold again. Milena was unable to do anything when Alpha Angelov suddenly lifted her into his arms as if she weighed nothing. All she could do was hold onto his neck to avoid falling.
