Chapter 32. Deathtrap
Mr. Spencer nodded, "Ok, I will take every expense into consideration and run some numbers," Mr. Spencer leaned in and reached across the table, taking Aakifahlynn's hand.
Aakifahlynn blinked when he said, "It was a pleasure meeting you, Ms. Thompson, and I look forward to a prosperous venture for us both..."
"Oh, Mr. Spencer, I am happy to hear you say this. Thank you for taking the meeting, and I hope you are truly a man of discretion." Aakifahlynn needed reassurance that her identity would remain hidden.
Mr. Spencer smiled, and it actually reached his eyes. Aakifahlynn blinked again. Her smile remained.
He said, "Fear not, my dear. Your identity does not leave my lips," he gave the hand he held a gentle squeeze.
Aakifahlynn breathed a sigh of relief, "I am thrilled. Now I must really get going." Aakifahlynn smiled warmly and gently pulled her hand away.
