I pocketed my phone without checking the email, deciding to wait until I arrived at the office before delving into the matter. 

I’m sure it could wait. If it was that serious, the security building is right in the compound of the residence, Mr. Jacobs would have made sure to come over and let me know. Maybe this was just about him wanting me to increase his pay.
