Chapter 15. Finding Solace

“She has been this way since a guy with a ponytail left,” the cleaning lady tries to explain to Chris. He looks beyond confused as to what is happening.
I feel so sad but also so angry! I feel like breaking everything that I can, I have already smashed three vases.
“I was so stupid,” I say to myself as I cry, tears blur my vision for a second, and then I feel a pair of strong arms wrap around me. When my vision clears, I realize that it is Chris, he is trying to comfort me.
“It’s okay, you’re alright,” he whispers comforting words to me as I lay my head on his chest and cry my eyes out.
“I really wish it was,” I sob.
“Do you know who this guy is?” Chris asks the cleaning lady.
“Me? I don’t, but she explained to me that he was the man she was supposed to marry,” she replies to him, reminding me of it all.
“Crap. How did he even know she was here?” His voice raises a bit, and although he should not be yelling at the cleaning
