Linda’s POV

I was standing there, looking at him. What was I going to tell him? How was I going to explain this?

And the thing was, I had to explain it, I could not lie, he already had the folder. My best guess was that he had gone through its content too.

“It’s complicated,” I began, adjusting the towel around my body. I did not mind that he was in here while I was almost naked, with only a towel.

I did not care, and neither did he. That was how we had grown up. 

“Complicated how? Linda, do we need to call the police?” He stood to his feet, closing the folder and holding it in his hand.

My eyes lingered on it for a few seconds before I looked at him. “Okay, I will explain. But no police. And you have to give me time to get dressed.”

He squinted his eyes a bit while he stared at me. After a few seconds, he nodded. “Okay, but the folder comes with me.”
