Linda’s POV

The building was one of those modern and fancy ones. It was very nice and when we walked into the lobby, we noticed how minimalistic it was.

We headed towards the front desk, the air feeling colder due to the ACs blasting cold air everywhere. 

“Hi, how may I help you?” The lady behind the desk asked. She had curly hair and honey-colored eyes. 

“Um, my name is Ben Wells, and this is my sister.” My brother gestured towards me to speak. 

I flashed the lady a warm smile and then said, “My name is Linda Wells Kingston.” 

Her eyes perked up a bit at the mention of my last name. “You’re a Kingston?” She asked. 

My brows furrowed a bit and I nodded as a shaky smile danced on my lips. “Is something wrong?”
