Chapter 230. The Truth Will F*ck You Up
I was sitting on the bed in the room and had not changed out of my work clothes yet. My heart was pounding and my mouth was dry. Was this the right time to tell Linda about what Meghan had suggested?
The room was quiet, the only sound echoing was the ticking of the clock on the wall. It was as if it was daring me, daring me to do the right thing; it was as if it was on the edge of its seat, ready to call me a coward if I chickened out.
With Fallon downstairs, I think it was the safest time to do this. You see, because if I told Linda the truth and things went south, I would have someone there with me who would try to help.
So, you know what? This was the perfect time…or not. There was no perfect time and I just had to take this situation by its horns.
I stood up from the bed and changed into something more casual. Then I stood in front of the mirror, staring at my reflection. I ran my hand through my hair and made it a bit messy.
