Chapter 46. Plan in Play
Linda’s POV
With a racing heart and nervous mind, I walked headed in the opposite direction of the team, making sure that my face was not showing.
I did not want it to seem like I was just coming from the room next to them. If I wanted to make this work, I had to do it the right way.
I was already in the lion’s pit and there was no turning back, so doing the job to the best of my ability was all I could really do.
When I reached the elevator, I pressed the button for the ground floor. The automated doors immediately opened. I stepped in but just before it could close, I placed my arm on the doors and it opened again.
I walked out, running my hand through my hair and releasing a heavy breath. It was showtime. My strides were confident and my walk was immaculate, but my heart was saying otherwise. It was far from calm and collected.
