My eyes blinked repeatedly as a wave of pain coursed through my body, as if sharp blades were piercing my skin without mercy. However, the worst pain was in my head. Fragments of disconnected memories mixed, strange names echoed in my mind, forming a chaotic whirlwind of thoughts.
With great effort, I forced myself to get up. My body protested with every movement, but I knew I couldn't afford to stay still. Time wouldn't wait for me, and neither would he.
