Chapter 66. Instincts

Perseus's POV

I know I should be more patient... that I should improve my emotional intelligence, but how can I do that when the woman I love wants to reject me? As soon as she suggested it, I couldn't help feeling angry and hurt.

There are too many things for me to take in at once. Besides, Helios is quiet, I haven't heard from him since I woke up. I can feel that he's still with me, but his presence is dim as though he's very tired.

It is highly likely as we were in a coma for a long time and I don't remember much of anything. I know, for a fact, that something did happen because I remember feeling that Helios wasn’t with me, which left me with a feeling of apprehension and sadness as I didn't know if he would come back.

I take Sophy's hand and bring it to my lips, not wanting the sparks to disappear. I sense that she doesn't like it when I lose control or when I act jealous.
