The next day, after finishing her prenatal checkup, Lillian Doyle came back to the Taylor house and took a nap. It wasn’t until late afternoon that she finally got around to knocking on Cassandra Taylor’s door.

“Cassie, I finally unlocked my bank card. Give me your account number, and I’ll send the money right now,” Lillian said with her usual stiff, polite smile, standing at the door with perfectly done makeup.
