“Sweet Cass, I’ve never once thought of marrying Liam Sloane,” Damien Blackwood said with a relaxed grin, completely unfazed by her teasing, even echoing her words with ease.

Basically, what he meant was—whether Liam could or couldn’t, had nothing to do with him.

“Oh, got it.” Cassandra Taylor nodded absentmindedly, humoring him as she stirred her tea. “So, you’ve got someone in mind then, huh?”

Knowing him the way she did, if he was casually dropping hints like that, there must already be a clear target. Damien wasn’t the type to speak without intent.

“Absolutely,” he answered without hesitation.

Cassandra didn’t press further. Head slightly down, she sipped her tea and nibbled at her favorite dessert, clearly lost in thought.

After wrapping up their teatime, she stood and left Damien’s private café, diving back into her never-ending workload.
