“Uh... come in.”

Just that one word had Lilah all flustered. She turned slightly to the side, cheeks tinged pink, and let Gabriel through the door.

The room was lit with a warm lamp—not too bright, but it had a cozy, calm kind of glow.

“Your hair’s still wet. Sit on the couch, I’ll dry it for you.”
