Ethan had already walked straight towards Clara.

She was wearing a pale pink dress today, the color soft and light, nothing flashy at all—yet on her, it looked effortlessly elegant.

Seeing him approaching, Clara got visibly nervous and shot a quick look at Lilah.

Lilah sent her a calming glance and gently let go of Clara’s arm.

“Feeling better from your cold?”

Ethan stopped in front of Clara, completely ignoring Lilah. His gaze locked right on her, unwavering.

“Y-Yeah... all better.”

Bathed in sunlight, Clara looked up at him timidly—like a startled little rabbit staring into the eyes of a big wild wolf.

He joined Gabriel, exchanged a few words, and a group of men headed off together.
