Violet stood under the lights, her red dress making her the center of attention.

In an instant, many eyes shifted toward her.

“I’ve heard Miss Hughes is great at piano, but I didn’t think we’d get to hear her play tonight. What a treat, all thanks to Gabriel,” Finn said with a grin, clearly a little tipsy and enjoying the view of the beauty at the piano.

Kai swirled his glass lazily before lowering his gaze and muttering, “Just trying to show off.”
