Xerina’s POV

The trek back from the Vault of Shadows was a blur of exhaustion and adrenaline. Every step echoed with the weight of what lay ahead—the knowledge that, even with the Grimoire in hand, we were only at the beginning of a much larger war. The pack moved in tense silence, their eyes darting to every shadow as if expecting Morvan to strike again at any moment. Luca led the way, his face set in a grim mask of determination, while Ruka brought up the rear, his senses on high alert.

Rasmus walked beside me, his presence steady and unwavering, but I could see the strain etched in the lines of his face. The battle in the Vault had taken a toll on all of us, and we were running out of time. Morvan would not give us the luxury of regrouping. He was already planning his next move, and we needed to be ready.
