Chapter 51

I only nodded and took deep breaths.

"Alright Evelyn, I want you to take in short deep breaths and when I ask you to push, you push as hard as you can." The doctor ordered and I nodded.

"OK. One, two, three……. Push!" The doctor instructed and I pushed with all my might, the pain causing me to dig my nails into Kayden's hand as my head rose from the pillow. The pain was indescribable and I wanted to scream my head off but then again, I didn't have that luxury so I could only open my mouth wide. 

I tried to direct all the pain on Kayden's hand linked with mine, pinching his skin so hard that it was sure to draw blood but he didn't pull away or even shake once, he only smiled at me instead and kept encouraging me. It would have brought a smile to my face if I wasn't in so much pain.

"Stop!" The doctor instructed and my head fell back on the pillow and I breathed heavily.
