Chapter 50

My eyes flew open, pain radiating through my body. My brain felt numb for a second as I tried to register my surroundings. I felt like I'd just woken up from a fever dream, memories scattered all over my mind, nothing seemed to be making sense at that moment.

I yelp suddenly, a sharp pain reverberating through me, it felt like something was happening in my lower belly. 

I bring my hand to my head and try to think and just then, I feel a sharp prick on my wrist and my eyes fall on the needle embedded in my skin. It's connected to a tiny tube through which blood from a transfer bag is being transported intravenously to me. I rest my hand back in place and try hard to understand what could be going on and before long, everything starts making sense. My memories start returning to me as I look over my surroundings. A few seconds later, I remembered everything. How I had tried to warn everyone about Margalo's devious plans, how no one had believed me, even Kayden.
