Chapter 22. Obedient Luna

Delilah’s POV

“Good evening my Luna,” one of the palace maids greeted bowing her head in courtesy.

“Evening...take a few steps back...” I ordered using my hand to demonstrate and waited for her to adjust before I continued,” So what’s the problem?” I asked.

“The kitchen head sent me to come ask what is on the menu for dinner,” she said avoiding my gaze.

“And it took you this late to ask me this...everyone in this mansion is as good as useless...just make something light, and do we still have-”

We both turned in the direction of the noise, and it was coming from the Alaric throne room, has he started one of his episodes today?

Who is he even lashing out on? I thought the meeting had ended and the council of elders had left, so what’s causing the noise?

I tried to ignore it and focus my attention back on the maid “So do we still have-” I couldn’t complete my statement, because the noise didn’t stop.

“Excuse me,” I said
