Chapter 17
Elina’s POV
One of the pack's kids, Alina, was passing through the hallway beside the side gate, where I sat on the chair with my knees all squeezed to my chest and I sneered at her.
She used to be my worst enemy in the pack because of her cruel nature towards the other kids. I disliked her for that.
She stood across the fence, looking at me. At first, she liked how I was suffering but later gave me a pitiful look. She opened the gate and walked toward me. She had a blanket with her and offered it to me.
"No, don't worry; I will be ok." Thanks, Alina!" I said to her,
"You haven't shifted yet?" She asked out of pity.
"No," I shrugged.
"In that case, I will go get others, so we will all celebrate with you as you make your first shift today." She said it excitedly.
