Alison’s POV
I pulled my shoulders back, forcing myself to stand tall as I crossed the training grounds. It had been weeks since Katherine started overseeing my Luna training, and though I was barely getting by, I could feel myself growing stronger with each test. My body was adjusting to the endless hours, the brutal exercises, and even Katherine’s barely veiled disdain. What I hadn’t expected was the hostility that seemed to linger just beneath the surface of every glance from the other pack members.
Some would come to watch me, hiding their smirks behind polite smiles, but it was all too clear. Most of them believed I had no business standing here, no right to think I could be Luna over them.
