Chapter 177. End of a Friendship, Beginning of Something

The following morning, Scarlett eagerly ran down the stairs. For the first time ever, she had a dream involving Simon. Was this the fate Mia talked about? In this dream, Simon visited her at her school, and the two of them enjoyed themselves immensely.

"Good morning, mom." Scarlett drew the chair as she sat in it. She cast a quick glance Mia's way.

"Courage." Mia mouthed.

"And where are you going dressed like that?" While settling into her chair, October questioned.

"Mom."

"Scarlett, no school for you today."

"Please, mom."

"I've said everything I have to say, so that's where it ends. Today, you're staying in your room, and when the clock strikes 12, you and I will go see Dr. Charlotte.

While exhaling, Scarlett gave a sniff. She let go of the fork she was holding as it clattered against the plate in front of her. "Mom, at least let me say a final goodbye to my friends if you're going to send me to a rehab center."
