Chapter 18. Butterflies in Her Stomach

Scarlett's face was resting on the neck of the man who had saved her, and the scent that emanated from it made her want to stay there for a while.

She began sniffing him. Awkwardly. Scarlett opened her eyes as soon as she realized what she was doing and immediately let go of him. She stood inches apart.

As she brushed her hair out of her face, she uttered, "Thank you." Finally, she turned her head to look at his face. She drooled. Oh, Lordy, he was flawless and had a smile on his face. The jawline, brows, and face were all in excellent shape.

He was magnificent.

He kept staring at her and she could feel butterflies in her stomach. She liked how he kept his eyes on her the entire time.

Instantly, she was smitten.

"Take extra care next time." Scarlett heard him say.

The sound of his voice sent chills down her spine. He was the most attractive guy she had ever seen, and the deadliest part was that she could feel sparks between them.
