"I'm saying you hurt me, Simon, but I still love you." Her gaze was fixed on him for an extended period of time. "I have always loved you."

Simon locked his gaze on Scarlett for a few moments. He was still in a state of shock. Her words were direct, but he'd always known Scarlett to be this way. Very blunt. Her words sounded genuine, and he was relieved he hadn't ruined it for them both. He was relieved that she had returned to him. Simon couldn't stop smiling.

He wanted to scream and jump and shout at the top of his lungs, telling her how much he loved her, telling the world how much he loved Scarlett O'Hara, but instead he remained calm and smiled. He reached for her hands and patted them gently. "Really?" She looked so beautiful in her red hair. Just like the way Devil was attracted to her the first day he saw her, he is attracted to her more than ever now.

Scarlett nodded. "Yes. Really." She would have run into his arms and kissed him if Mace hadn't been there.
