Chapter 88. Our Next Mission

"That's Wolfsbane. It is used to kill werewolves."

"What?" Again taking the amulet in her hands, Scarlett gave it close inspection. "Why... Why would my dad have this? Why would Cornelia and Avery's dad have this? Do they know that werewolves exist?" As Scarlett thought, so many questions flooded her mind.

She picked up the amulet right away and placed it back where she had found it. She stood up once she had finished organising the dispersed photos. When she turned, Belly was standing in the entranceway. Scarlett let out a gasp that suggested she had been caught doing something improper. "You scare me." On her chest, she placed a hand. "How long have you been standing there?"

"What are you doing in Mom's room?"

"What? Why would I be in Mom's room?"

Belly moved toward her. "I don't know, but this is mom's room, and you are in it right now. What on earth are you doing here, Scarlett?"
